COOPERATIVA BENAGUASIL is a fruit and vegetables cooperative around 1955. In the mid-70s citrus activity starts and in the present, there are being cultivated and commercialized: oranges, pineapples, clementines, grapefruits, pomegranates, persimmon, melon, watermelon, peppers, cauliflower, artichokes, tomatoes, and other minor products. The cooperative now comprises 800 farmers in the area.

Currently their processes of peeling and cutting are quite manual, although they have investigated laser cutting processes, ultraviolet disinfection, etc. They have developed their own machinery for watermelon processing and have developed their own machinery for implementing antioxidant treatments and / or edible coatings.

Their main technological advantage is in the packaging, where they use an Israeli technology for  modifying the atmosphere by compensation, eliminating the inconveniences which produces the vacuum in fruits.
